Hi! I’m Renée.
I’m glad you’re here.
I am a licensed psychologist in Oregon, specializing in individual telehealth therapy for adults across the state.
The work I do is deeply meaningful to me. I love being able to help people explore and understand their whole self, to free themselves from barriers they never thought they would overcome, and to cultivate a life they can feel excited about.
I know that it isn’t easy to be vulnerable in the way that therapy requires, and I consider it both inspiring and a privilege to be a part of that process with you.
When I’m not therapist-ing, I might be taking pictures of woodland critters, playing one of my many musical instruments, or hanging out with my big goofball dog.
A few things about me…
I value collaboration, meaning that you and I will decide together what our work will look like. Although I know a thing or two about psychology, you are the authority on you and your experiences, and I celebrate your individuality and unique perspective.
Depending on your needs and goals, we may decide for therapy to be more or less structured, but a deep respect of your agency and autonomy remains central throughout the therapeutic process.
My approach is integrative, drawing from humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment therapy, existential, and relational therapeutic orientations.
I believe that it is the relationship between client and therapist that creates the foundation for the most meaningful work in psychotherapy.
Learning specific skills and tools absolutely has its place in therapy and can be immensely useful. But I believe this needs to take place among the larger backdrop of the therapeutic relationship and it is only one aspect of helping you get to where you want to go.
You are welcome here.
My lens as a therapist is rooted in social justice and intersectionality. I recognize that mental health does not exist in a vacuum and is shaped and influenced by one’s broader societal context and experiences.
I operate by the values of inclusivity and equity, and strive to create an atmosphere of safety, respect, and acceptance in which people can bring their whole, genuine self into the therapy space.
I am affirming of gender, sexual, racial, cultural, physical, neurological, and relationship diversity, including those who belong to the LGBTQIAP+, BIPOC, disabled, kink, and neurodiversity communities. Whatever identities you hold, you are welcome here.
